Meg's Confession, by Sierra Donovan

Meg Reilly is a pregnant widow who ducks into a confessional to spill her deepest, darkest secrets. Trouble is, the man on the other side of the booth isn't a priest.

Craig Stovall is the owner of a local construction business--he's just there to repair the confessional. But when Meg starts talking, he's too surprised and tongue-tied to stop her until he hears too much. When they meet later, Craig recognizes Meg from the glimpse he caught as she left--but she has no idea he's her "priest."

Meg doesn't think she wants another big, strong man in her life. Her relationship with her husband was rocky at best, and she wants what's right for the baby on the way, even if this means being alone. Still, the more time Meg and Craig spend together, the closer they become...and the closer Craig comes to slipping up and revealing that he's the one who heard Meg's confession.

A thoroughly enjoyable story with an unusual plot!
By John D. Hurd
A well-written thoroughly enjoyable story that held my interest from the first page to the last. The chemistry between Craig and Meg is skillfully developed without the vivid sex scenes usually found in contemporary romance stories. I didn't want to put it down!

Unique take on a classic love story.
By suereadsalot
Widowed and pregnant, Meg hopes that confessing her feelings to a priest will help her deal with the death of her home-town hero husband. But it's local bad-boy contractor, Craig, sitting on the other side of the confessionial, and taking on the troubles of a pregnant widow is way out of his comfort zone. But mutual attraction and a touch of serendipidy continue to draw them together, easing Meg's fear of abandonment and eliminating Craig's aversion to committment.

Donovan deftly paints a detailed portrait of life in small-town America and populates the story with relatable and realisitic characters. The story progresses organically, leading the reader to a satisfying happily-ever-after ending.

A lovely romantic read. Highly recommended.

Sooo perfect!
By V. Ardito
A troubled Meg seeks the solace of a confessional in an empty church, never realizing there's a man doing construction on the other side of the wall. Craig is by no means ready or wise enough to comfort Meg, but he's struck by her pain just the same. A few days later, when they run into each other again, Meg has no idea that Craig was the "priest" who counseled her. Thus begins a sweet touching friendship between two people who don't realize how much they need each other. What makes this book so good is Meg's growth from scared rabbit to a woman who discovers that asking for help requires more strength than trying to go it alone. A lovely romance!
