Too expensive for the length of the story

I've enjoyed all of Samantha Kane's Brothers in Arms books with the exception of this one. It is less than a short story and should have been given to her email subscribers for free like other popular authors do. Definitely not worth the cost.

WAY too short.

ok, so it was WAY shorter than it should have been. I've already read The Courage to Love, about 3 times now I think, and this is really just a prequel to that story. But my issue is that we get zero insight on Jason and Tony. It's more like a scene on how they become lovers. That's my best way to describe it. And from THAT scene, we jump straight into book 1. I have read a ton of Samantha's stories, and this is not her usual quality. No matter how short her stories have been, she has never left me hanging on any characters. This just seemed like a waste of publication to me. It added nothing to what I know of Jason and Tony, and I think it should have based on the title ...
Hopefully I'm explaining myself correctly ...... Thank God this was a freebie! lol

Wonderful and emotionally moving short story

Truly a great story. Some others complained that it is too short, but short, intense and filled with emotions - I loved it. Of course it is a prelude to the next book, but it stands well on it's own and I'd suggest this short read to anyone who is intrigued by the idea of two close male friends sharing a woman, and being bonded closer and healing their wounds by doing so - although their friendship does not at all depend upon her. I look forward to reading the next book.
